T-Shirts/Sweatshirts: The Varsity and JV warm-up shirts and sweatshirts have been ordered at a cost of $45/player. Please bring your check for $45, made out to the Kamiakin Booster Club, and give it to Shelby B or Artha at practice.
Mandatory Practices: Mandatory practices start on Monday, August 24 at 7:15 am, with tryouts conducted the first three/four days of practice. The scheduled practices (see calendar) must be attended to participate in the first game(s) of the season. A minimum of ten (days) of practice are required, and with a potential game being added on September 4, all scheduled practices must be attended.
Sports Registration / Required Forms: If you missed the sports registration on August 17, there are several items that must be taken care of. Thesports registration fee of $40 must be paid (if not paid when you picked up your class schedule). Checks should be made out to Kamiakin and turned in at the Kamiakin office. Required forms that need to be reviewed, signed by each player and parent, and turned in include Form F-9 2320, Participant Anti-Hazing, and a Concussion Information Sheet. Copies of these forms are attached (and will also be available at tonight’s scrimmage). You can turn them in to me at tonight’s scrimmage, or give them to Pat Brown in the Kamiakin office. A current physical that is valid through the entire season, completed by your doctor, must be on file in the Kamiakin office.
Parent Meeting: A parent meeting will be held on Monday, August 31, at 6:00 pm at Edison. An inter-squad scrimmage will be held immediately following the parent meeting (the girls will warm-up during the parent meeting).
Freshman Orientation: For those freshman having orientation on Monday, August 24, from 8:00-12:00, you are excused from the morning mandatory practice. Please e-mail to let me know you will not be at that practice session. Attendance at the afternoon session is required.
Free Mouthguards: Dr. Brown and Dr. Week are offering to make mouthguards free of charge for interested Kamiakin girls soccer players on August 29. Details will be provided to the girls at practice that day. Their office is at 306 N Delaware (behind Sporthaus on Columbia Center Blvd)
